By far the worst and most unreliable contractor of any trade ever appointed by me. I appointed Mike Nicholas of MH Decorating to paint my flat in Chester. I was overseas at the time. On completion my agent found (supported with with video evidence) large areas of paint smears over the parquet floor evidencing a poor attempt to clean spills, paint drips on kitchen taps and tiles. Worse still, sh** was found unflushed in the toilet. No other contractor had keys at the time. All cleaned at my expense (£90). I personally inspected the flat in July this year. Further paint drips found on bathroom tiles and an area of wall behind the lounge blind bracket not painted at all.(Initially observed by tenant who removed the bracket with ease). Whereas I suspect Mike Nicholas did not actually undertake the paint personally he was unwilling to admit to having sub-contracted the work out without my knowledge (if indeed that was the case). If you use this contractor I suggest you do so at your peril.
